After the community support shown in the first weekend, the Muddy Creek Artists Guild adds additional weekend to its holiday show.
(Anne Arundel County, Md)—The Muddy Creek Artists Guild's 12th annual "Gifts from the Arts" Holiday Show and Sale opened to much acclaim with a “Sneak Peek" opening party event for the general public on Thursday, December 2nd and a very successful first weekend, December 3–5. As this is the first in-person show from the group in nearly two years, the 33 participating artists, pleased with the support shown so far, have agreed to add one more weekend to the show's schedule. Additional work and inventory in glass, photography, painting, wood, ceramics, and more are continually being added to keep the show fresh and enjoyable for guests.
GIFTS FROM THE ARTS will be open to the public and run for three weekends now: Friday-Sunday, December 3-5,10-12, and 17-19, at the Main St. at South River Shopping Center—179 Mitchells Chance Road, Edgewater, Md. 21073. The show is open and free to the public to enjoy.
Show hours: Fridays (December 3, 10, and 17) and Saturdays (December 4, 11, and 18) 10 a.m. to 7p.m.; Sundays (December 5, 12, and 19), 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Studio Intrepid art-making activities 1pm-4pm.
"The Guild artists are excited to personally see our loyal and new customers. We thrive on their support," said Lora Collins, President of the Muddy Creek Artists Guild.
MCAG is also pleased to see a huge response so far to the show's raffle in support of its Educational Fund. Raffle tickets are being sold for 8 different baskets, which can include anything from donated artwork to art supplies for various age groups, with 100% of the proceeds going to support the art departments of the two high schools in Southern Anne Arundel County this year.
