MCAG Artists—It's Time to Get Inspired!
MCAG Thematic Inspiration Project Announced for the 2019 Holiday Show—ALL MEDIA WELCOME!
Those of you who were Muddy Creekers during the 2018 Holiday show will remember the ‘Stormy Weather’ project that some of the 2D artists collaborated on. We used 3 photos taken by Jen Fletcher of a crab shack out on a sliver of land when a storm was blowing in. For the show we had a whole wall of paintings and fabric art inspired by those photos. The wall was gorgeous and very well received.
For this year’s holiday show, the plan is to repeat that success and open the fun to as many media and artists as can participate. We have chosen a photo taken by our VIP (very important patron) Linda Dennis to serve as our inspiration:
The image is of Leatherbury Farm on Sudley Road for those who may want to stop by in person. Remember—you are the artist and your representations can be true to the photo or just inspired by the photo. The fun last year was in the variety of work on that wall.
