Muddy Creek Art Guild hosted it's 3rd
Annual Holiday Art Show!
Dec. 1-4 & 8-11, 2011 Gifts from the Arts
Muddy
Creek Artists Guild brought the joy of the season
to Edgewater at its biggest show of the year. Over 60 participants, including
new members, represented all popular media as the organization took over
the former Blockbuster at South River Colony’s Main Street for the eight-day
display. The 3000 square feet location was transformed into a
holiday gallery and offered the best collection of
local art from Southern Anne Arundel County.
Our 2nd Annual Fall "Harvest of Artists" Show was a Great Success! Hosted by Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian on September 16, 17, 18, 2011, featuring over 60 Muddy Creek Artists.
For everyone that helped, please click here for a warm Thank-You!

Muddy
Creek Artists Guild Celebrated its 2nd Anniversary in Galesville with it's
"Artist's on the Half Shell" gallery show
featuring ""Freshly
Shucked Chesapeake Pearls”
on June 3-5 at the Galesville Memorial Hall.

Many local artists, including several new members, displayed their painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, textiles and
works in other media. The gallery show
combined traditional art with the “eclectic originality” portrayed by some
Guild members. Many of the works were from The Chesapeake Bay Collection
highlighting artwork specifically influenced by living near the Bay.
This year
the show was professionally judged and the Golden Oyster Shell was awarded to James O'Neil for his metal sculpture, best in show.
The Guild held a
special reception to announce its first annual Art Scholarship winners.
From
Southern Senior High School, the winner was Louis Fratino, and from South River High School the winner was Jessica Terneus.
The
two winners also exhibited examples of their work.
