Although my pieces evolve slowly, I feel impatient while working with them. I am driven to build surfaces up, then pull them away so the core of the work is revealed. Often, I build the surface up again and redirect it. This pushing and pulling creates motion, allowing me to create a unity of textures and colors and achieve a final image. My hope is to intrigue and beguile the viewer so they see more deeply or develop a feeling for the art.
